In this training, participants will the foundational components of psychiatry rehabilitation services. This includes use of assessment to identify cognitive, social and functional impairments that are in place due to mental health and substance use disorders. Participants will learn the key components of formalized rehabilitation plans, while learning how to use task breakdown, behavioral shaping, and practical tools for creating structured, creative, and intentional plans that are built based on the individuals needs and goals of ACT participants.
Objectives
- Participants will receive training on the foundational principles of psychiatric rehabilitation
- Participants will learn to connect symptoms to functioning, and functioning to intentional interventions.
- Participants will be able to take the structure, tools and examples provided to create individualized psychiatric rehabilitation plans for the individuals they serve.
