Leonard Amundson, MH Prac

He has worked in a variety of roles in the mental health field including mental health practitioner, certified peer specialist, and chemical health technician, Hennepin County Local Advisory Board Member, and facilitated trainings for Wellness in the Woods, RADIAS Health, and the Minnesota State Public Defender. ​Training topics include LGBTQIA+ Awareness, Gender Informed Care, and Substance Use Treatment Navigation. Currently, he works as a Dispositional Advisor for the 10th District Public Defender where he provides mental health consultation services to public defense attorneys and advocates for alternative sentencing for defendants struggling with mental health and substance use concerns. he is a senior graduate student at St. Mary’s University pursuing licensing as a LPCC and LADC, and Additionally, owns and operates a private sentencing advocacy and legal mitigation business, Midwest Mitigation.
