ACT – DHS Training

DHS-MN is partnering with RADIAS Health to provide quality training to all adult and youth ACT teams in Minnesota. Training topics were identified based on feedback from teams, and results of fidelity reviews. Training will be held virtually and will be free of charge for teams. Here are our offerings

    ACT Team leaders have a unique challenge of both leading and managing within a highly structured and demanding model of care. Throughout this six part leadership training series, team leaders will gain skills needed to self-assess their teams' current practices in relation to ACT fidelity, problem solve and identify solutions to their team specific barriers, and build continuous quality improvement plans.

     

    Part 4:  Clinical and Rehabilitative Anchors.  This session will focus on the anchoring the teams work through intentional integration of therapy, enhancing the clinical practices by all team members and the structured use of psychiatric rehabilitation practices.

The goal is to Increase awareness of diversity, expand cultural awareness, competency and improve quality of services for this population, by understanding more of their cultural background and needs. Understand importance of working effectively with appropriate interpreters to reduce disparity in mental health service delivery.

    This training will benefit teams by providing education on best practices for non-medication-based treatment of schizophrenia.
