ACT – DHS Training

DHS-MN is partnering with RADIAS Health to provide quality training to all adult and youth ACT teams in Minnesota. Training topics were identified based on feedback from teams, and results of fidelity reviews. Training will be held virtually and will be free of charge for teams. Here are our offerings

ACT Team leaders have a unique challenge of both leading and managing within a highly structured and demanding model of care. Throughout this six part leadership training series, team leaders will gain skills needed to self-assess their teams' current practices in relation to ACT fidelity, problem solve and identify solutions to their team specific barriers, and build continuous quality improvement plans.

 

Part 5: The EBPs within the EBP.  This session will focus on creating space, value, and team practices which support the effective delivery of Supported Education and Employment, Integrated Dual Disorder Services and Peer Support services.

12:00 pm: Suicide & Harm to Others - Risk Assessment and Intervention

This half-day training will focus on assessment, intervention and safety planning as it relates to risk of suicide or potential harm to others.  Specific risk factors and assessment strategies will be presented, specific to working on an ACT team. Effective tools for mitigating risk, including safety planning within the support and structure of ACT will be discussed.

Objectives

  • Participants will develop their knowledge of factors that increase risk of suicided and harm towards self or others.
  • Participants will engage learning strategies for assessing suicide risk and safety planning.
  • Participants will explore strategies for assessing risk of harm towards others, along with risk mitigation strategies
