“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.” – Desmond Tutu
RADIAS Health continues to stand firm against racism and injustice.
In January 2021, the RADIAS Health Race Equity Advisory Committee will begin meeting. Formed of community stakeholders representing an array of racial and ethnic backgrounds, the Race Equity Advisory Committee will share insights and community perspectives to influence current and developing programs. The committee will also look at program outcomes by race and provide feedback on identified areas for practice change.
On April 20, 2021 there was a historic verdict finding former police officer Derrick Chauvin guilty on charges of murder and manslaughter. The community widely acknowledges that this is symbolic of changes and reform that is needed in our Country.
RADIAS is committed to being actively engaged in creating equity for all people. Looking inward, we invite all employees and partners to reflect on how we as individuals and as an agency can be part of the solution. As an agency, we want discrimination to end for our employees and the people we serve. Change is absolutely necessary, and not just a little bit. We need change in a profound, sustained way.
