The annual Building Strength 5K walk/run will benefit South Metro Human Services DBA RADIAS Health Building Strength Fund.

The funds raised will go directly to client specific needs.


The route will take participants on a beautifully paved trail through Battle Creek Park.


We welcome runners and walkers of every level.


If you cannot join us the day of the race but would like to still be a part of our event you can register as a Sideline Supporter as a virtual participant. This will allow you to support the cause without leaving the comfort of your bed.

All sideline supporters will receive a t-shirt as a Thank you.

Same day registration and check in starts at 9am

Building Strength 5K Walk/Run event starts at 10am



RADIAS Health is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency committed to improving the lives of adults with mental illness and/or chemical dependence in the Twin Cities metro area. The eleventh annual Building Strength 5K will support client needs through the RADIAS Health’s Building Strength Fund. All money raised will go directly to client needs, and does not support the daily operations of RADIAS Health. 



Examples of past grants distributed from the fund include:

    • Providing warm weather clothing and jackets for clients with limited income.

    • Communication minutes for clients to remotely access medical and mental health services.

    • Engagement supplies for our Homeless Outreach Team.

    • Apartment application fees and deposits to ensure housing.

    • Helping clients build skills around positive self-care and recreational activities.
